What you will be doing
You’ll lead our journey toward becoming more of an AI‑powered, data‑driven organisation. This role blends strategy, enablement, and hands‑on delivery to embed responsible AI and data practices across the business.
In this role, you will:
- Shape and deliver the organisation’s AI strategy and roadmap.
- Work alongside the data architect in developing the data strategy that supports the implementation of AI across the business.
- Establish standards, governance, and best practices for ethical, secure AI usage.
- Drive enterprise‑wide enablement through training, workshops, and adoption programmes.
- Identify high‑value use cases, run discovery sessions, and support pilots through to production.
- Champion responsible AI, monitoring for risk, bias, drift, and regulatory compliance.
- Select and govern AI tooling, platforms, and MLOps capabilities.
- Build reusable components and automation to accelerate experimentation and deployment.
- Work with stakeholders, vendors, and technology teams to ensure alignment and value.
- Track KPIs, report progress, and drive continuous improvement in AI and data practices.
What we are looking for
We’re seeking a strategic, hands-on AI leader with strong technical depth, excellent communication skills and the ability to drive adoption in complex environments.
You will bring:
- Deep knowledge of AI, machine learning, data governance and ethical AI.
- Awareness of GDPR, FCA expectations and regulated industry best practice.
- Experience with cloud AI platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and MLOps approaches.
- Proficiency with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch), Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
- Skilled in delivering AI solutions, CI/CD pipelines and model monitoring.
- Ability to run enablement programmes and simplify complex concepts.
- Strong stakeholder and cross functional collaboration skills.
- Passion for responsible AI, innovation and measurable business value.
- Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Data Science, AI or related fields, plus relevant certifications.
