Completions Manager

What you will be doing 

As Completions Manager, you’ll lead a high‑performing team through one of the most critical stages of the lending journey. You’ll combine hands‑on technical expertise with confident people leadership, driving quality, pace and right‑first‑time outcomes across secured loan completions.

You will:

• Lead, coach and motivate a team of 10–12 Completion and Administration Specialists, building capability and confidence.
• Own completions performance, ensuring post‑offer activity consistently meets SLAs, KPIs and quality standards.
• Manage workloads through effective capacity planning to deliver smooth, efficient completions.
• Act as an escalation point, resolving issues quickly for brokers, customers, solicitors and internal teams.
• Champion a strong compliance and governance culture, ensuring regulatory and assurance requirements are met.
• Drive continuous improvement across processes, policies and ways of working.
• Lead by example, embedding a right‑first‑time mindset and high standards of customer outcomes.

What we are looking for

We’re looking for a confident, people‑focused leader with strong technical completions knowledge, who enjoys being close to the detail while developing others and driving performance.

You will bring:

• Proven experience leading operational teams within mortgage completions, conveyancing or secured lending.
• Strong technical knowledge of post‑offer processes, UK Finance Handbook and HMLR requirements.
• Solid regulatory understanding, including FCA requirements, Consumer Duty and MCOB.
• Experience managing completions across England & Wales and Scotland.
• A coaching‑led leadership style with the ability to develop, motivate and performance‑manage others.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to influence and challenge constructively.
• A proactive, organised approach with high attention to detail and quality.
