What you will be doing

 

As part of our small, dynamic legal team, you’ll play a key role in supporting a wide range of legal and regulatory activities. This is a hands-on role where you’ll gain early exposure to complex projects rarely seen in private practice and follow them through to completion. You’ll work closely with the Legal Director and other stakeholders, contributing to critical business decisions and helping us maintain compliance and operational excellence.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Conduct legal and regulatory research and draft advice under supervision.
  • Review, negotiate, and draft supplier contracts and other legal documents.
  • Assist with customer-facing and broker mortgage documentation.
  • Support contract administration and lifecycle management
  • Liaise with internal teams and external parties to resolve legal and operational issues.
  • Assist with data protection compliance activities and company secretarial tasks.
  • Contribute to risk management, governance processes, and ESG initiatives.

  • Law degree or equivalent qualification (LLB, GDL/PGDL, SQE1, CILEX Level 6, etc.).
  • Prior paralegal experience or meaningful legal work experience, internships or placements.
  • Strong legal research skills and familiarity with legal databases.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Comfortable speaking up, spotting risks early, and asking the next question.
  • Tech-savvy and proactive in finding process improvements.
  • Adaptable, dependable, and open to learning.
