Senior PR Manager

What you will be doing

As Senior PR Manager, you’ll shape, own and deliver Pepper Money’s PR strategy across both intermediary and consumer audiences. You’ll work closely with the Marketing Director and senior stakeholders to build plans that support our commercial goals, elevate our brand positioning, and ensure our communications are consistent, clear and credible. 

You will:

• Develop and deliver PR plans across all key product lines, aligned with our wider brand and communications strategy.
• Oversee media engagement
• Work with the Marketing Director to define and execute public affairs and political engagement strategies, including areas such as housing policy, Shared Ownership, landlord legislation, EPC requirements and the Renters Rights Bill.
• Support major corporate communications, including ESG updates, company results, securitisation activity and acquisitions.
• Partner with the Treasury function to develop targeted communications for investors and analysts.
• Identify new opportunities for thought leadership, research and whitepapers aligned to business objectives.
• Act as the PR lead within Crisis Management teams, supporting BCP, disaster recovery and business‑critical comms activity.
• Ensure all external communications meet relevant regulatory standards, including Financial Promotions and Consumer Duty requirements.

What we’re looking for

We’re seeking a senior PR professional who can combine strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery, and who thrives in a fast‑paced, regulated environment.

You’ll bring:

• Significant experience in PR or Corporate Affairs, including B2B communications within regulated financial services.
• Strong experience engaging with journalists and running a press office, including managing reactive and proactive media enquiries.
• Demonstrable experience in public affairs, government or policy‑maker engagement.
• Experience delivering crisis comms, BCP and disaster‑recovery communications.
• Strong understanding of investor communications, capital markets, securitisation and governance frameworks (advantageous).
• Excellent writing, editing and proofing skills with high attention to detail.
• Relevant qualifications in PR, communications, journalism, marketing or membership of a professional body (desired, not essential).
