What you will be doing 

As a Workplace Support Engineer, you’ll be the onsite technical expert supporting our UK offices, ensuring colleagues have reliable and efficient workplace technology. You’ll deliver handson support for devices, office hardware and meeting room equipment, helping to keep the office environment running smoothly and productively.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide onsite support for laptops, printers, docking stations, peripherals, desk setups and meeting room technology.
  • Troubleshoot local connectivity issues including LAN, WiFi, patch panels and cabling.
  • Assist with deployment and configuration of enduser devices and accessories.
  • Support EUC Engineers with hardware tasks, device swaps, asset checks and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain accurate asset records and support hardware lifecycle activities.
  • Ensure office tech printers, scanners, AV kit, routers, and desk setups remain reliable and wellmaintained.
  • Liaise with serviced office providers on buildinglevel technology issues.
  • Work closely with other parts of the IT team, providing onsite checks and contributing to incident, request and problem management.
  • Deliver an excellent onsite support experience, offering proactive assistance and user guidance.

 

What we are looking for

We’re looking for someone technically capable, organised and customer‑focused, someone who enjoys being hands‑on and serving as the go‑to IT presence in the office. You should be confident troubleshooting a wide range of workplace technologies and able to support colleagues of all technical levels with patience and clarity.

 

Skills & Knowledge Required: 

  • Experience delivering onsite IT support, including troubleshooting laptops, printers, peripherals and meeting room tech.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (LAN/Wi‑Fi/cabling).
  • Familiarity with end‑user computing environments and ITSM processes.
  • Experience with asset management and hardware lifecycle tasks.
  • Strong communication, organisation and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently while maintaining excellent customer service.

 

Preferred Certifications:

  • ITIL Foundation
  • CompTIA A+ / Network+
  • Microsoft 365 Fundamentals or equivalent experience
